Rating: 4.5 / 5 stars 🤩 : Steak, Creamy Spinach, service & staff 🤧 : Coffee Whilst my partner was the one who brought me to celebrate our anniversary, Les Bouchons have been on my saved list for a good while now. The entire experience was faultless. The service team was smooth, friendly and helpful. Food arrived perfect and in good time. The place had a lot of character and felt like home. It’s just that the enjoyment wasn’t perfect - perhaps I felt too uptight and wasn’t able to properly let myself go and enjoy the moment. Food was great. The salad was on the lighter side, and it would seem intentional for the sake of balancing out the heavier flavours of the other sides/mains you are having. The steaks were done perfectly and had a great mouthfeel. Creamy spinach - I’ve never had so much of it - all thanks to the generous portion size. It was amazing too. It was a pity that we weren’t able to fully load ourselves with the free-flow service of fries. The only let down was the coffee. I was frankly hoping for something better than flat, crema-less coffee from a coffee machine. The Christmas cocktails too, could be better. Overall, an impressive spot. Not the most ideal for a chill night, but certainly a good pick for those looking to impress. Your future father-in-law who loves wine and steak would love you for bringing him here.

What a sad and expensive experience it was. Les Bouchons used to be a favorite place for steak. Today , it had a horrid bitterness from the char and was really flat and tiny. Seemed smaller than 300g being dwarfed by the chips. The creamed spinach actually tasted slimy. French onion soup had an unnatural sweetness. And the chips were sad and hard . Not the moreish chips I remembered! Service was professional but without any trace of warmth or sincerity. Like we were an imposition. The tables around us were full of very loud and noisy people which totally spoilt the atmosphere of calm dinnertime. After the hefty bill and disappointing food ,we decided that we will not return again.
